ELLSWORTH (AP) — A car crashed into a train in Maine for the second time in less than a week on Monday.

Police say a car crashed into a passenger excursion train Monday afternoon at a railroad crossing in Ellsworth, but the driver was unhurt.

Witnesses said the train was sounding its horn at the time of the crash, but the driver told police she didn’t see the train.

Sgt. Shawn Willey says nobody on the train was hurt, but the car was totaled.

Last Thursday, a dump truck driver was injured when he drove his truck into a train in Hampden.
