Libby-Mitchell Legion baseball will hold tryouts for the 2014 season at 8 a.m. Sunday at Scarborough High. Players should bring their original copy birth certificate, cleats, gloves and hat. Coaches will also have players fill out a tryout registration form. Libby-Mitchell sponsors both a Junior Legion team of younger players and a Senior Legion team made up of juniors, seniors and some college freshmen.

The Golf for Good tournament to benefit The Opportunity Alliance will be held Sept. 23 at The Woodlands in Falmouth. The scramble will begin at noon with a shotgun start, and the event will include lunch, a silent auction and awards ceremony. The cost is $250 per golfer.
