A Freeport firm is one of three Maine companies to receive Conservation Innovation Grants funds.
Community Energy Partners LLC received $50,000 for “demonstrating innovative implementation of greater on-farm efficiency and greenhouse gas reductions,” according to a statement from the USDA.
The objectives of the project are to allow farmers to conduct energy assessments and educate how to develop community wind projects.
