POLAND — Jack Davenport drove a goal into the back of the net 41 seconds into the regulation, lifting Freeport past Poland 3-0 in boys’ soccer action Saturday.
Davenport supplied another goal midway through the second half, while Ethan Roney added one with six minutes left to play.
Zack Lowe stopped eight shots for the Knights (0-3), one being a penalty kick.
Freeport improved to 1-1 and is scheduled to host Yarmouth this afternoon.

BRUNSWICK 6
Brunswick defeated Brewer Saturday night in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference play. The Dragons improved to 2-1 and head to Messalonskee on Tuesday.
Cameron Glover headed in the first of his two goals at the 22-minute mark of the first half. He also scored with 17 minutes left in the half to make it 3-0.
Blake Gordon scored two goals, one in each half. Jesse Arford opened up the scoring in the second half with an unassisted goal.
Eric Kousky also scored in the second half on an assist from Arford. Arford finished the night with three assists and Glover had one helper.
Ryan Brescia and Evan Murray combined on the shutoutmaking two saves each.
Caleb Eggert and Rece Baker of Brewer (0-3) played well despite the score, facing 20 shots and making eight saves, including a beautiful save on a penalty kick.
Hall-Dale at Lisbon
Hall-Dale was scheduled to visit Lisbon on Friday but the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
The game will be played Tuesday in Lisbon Falls (4 p.m.).
