TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School eighthgrade boys soccer team opened the season this week with a two-game split.
On Monday, the Eagles began the season with a 6-0 win over Bath. Nick Merrill and Gavin Patterson scored two goals each, and Devin Haskins and Elias Poole added one each.
Cam Grant and Ian Fallier split time in net for the shutout, while Thomas Dua, Kevin Bolduc and Matt Lawrence played solid defense.
Against Auburn on Wednesday, the Eagles lost, 6- 3. The Eagles were unable to capitalize on many scoring opportunities.
Ian Fallier and Blair Kopp split time in the net. Dalton Streeter scored a goal and had a nice assist on one of two goals scored by Haskins.
