Saturday, Sept. 28: The First Congregational Christian Church in New Gloucester hosts a community contra dance from 7-9 p.m. The event will be held in the Vestry Community Room at 19 Gloucester Hill Road, and features live music with caller Kathryn Larson. Tuesday, Oct. 1: Windham’s Monthly Grief Support meeting sponsored by VNA Home Health & Hospice will be discussing “Seasons of Grief” from 6-7:30 p.m. at North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail, Route 302, Windham. The group, which is sponsored by the church’s Mission Committee, is open to anyone grieving the death of a loved one. Monday, Oct. 28: A rabies clinic will be held at Standish Town Hall, 175 Northeast Road, in the Sebago Lake Room 5-6 p.m. $10 per pet. Cash only. Bring previous rabies certificate. Dogs on leashes and cats in cages. The town clerk will also be there to license dogs if anyone wishes to do so. She will accept cash or checks. No credit cards.

• Attention crafters: the Vendredi Club of Casco is having its third annual craft fair on Nov. 3. at Crooked River School on Route 11 in Casco. The fair features a wide variety of hand-crafts and has space for more crafters who would like to have their unique craft included.
