WATERVILLE — Former Morse High School student/athlete Elizabeth Walfield is one of eight scholar athletes to receive a scholarship from the Maine Sports Legends.
Walfield will be honored Oct. 13 at the Alfond Youth Center with the banquet to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Walfield graduated fourth in her class of 128 and participated in indoor and outdoor track for four years, while also playing soccer.
Academically, she received the Rensselaer Medal, the St. Anselm Award and Outstanding Achievement awards in English, Spanish and photography.
Her community services included the Coastal Humane Society, Race Runways Committee, Bath Area Family YMCA and the Relay For Life Committee.
She is attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute, majoring in bio technology.
