MORSE 1
CAMDEN HILLS 2
Morse traveled to Camden Hills Saturday and came alive in the second half, but couldn’t find the tying goal in the end.
The first half saw Camden pin the Shipbuilders in their defensive end for long periods of time.
Morse was unable to clear a Camden corner kick which eventually found the back of the net before 10 minutes had passed. A Camden breakaway goal at 13 minutes made it 2-0.
The half ended with the shots at five each.
“The second half saw a different Shipbuilder team as the ball rarely crossed into their defensive end,” said Morse coach Steve Boyce. “Miracle Trimble made it a game as she found the net off a Ruth Nadeau feed with less than eight minutes gone.”
Shipbuilder keeper Alesha Aucoin made a couple of standout saves in the second half that helped make the Morse comeback feasible.
Shots ended 10-7 in favor of 6-2 Morse, which is scheduled to host Oceanside on Tuesday.
