ORONO (AP) — A new art studio named for the Wyeth family of artists is being dedicated at the University of Maine.
The Wyeth Family Studio Art Center is being dedicated on Sunday, honoring the three generations of Wyeths whose paintings have been inspired by Maine.
N.C. Wyeth, his son Andrew and grandson Jamie split their time between Maine and Chadds Ford, Pa. N.C. Wyeth died in 1945 and Andrew Wyeth in 2009.
Jamie Wyeth will be on hand at Sunday’s dedication. The center on the Orono campus includes studios for painting, printmaking, photography and 3-D design, as well as classroom space.
