
She graduated from St. John’s School and attended Brunswick High School. She was employed at Verney Mill until it closed and later cared for her parents, her aunt Lucie Menard, and sisters, Gabrielle and Justine. For many years she was a member of St. John’s choir and helped in many functions in the parish.
She is predeceased by her two brothers Antonio Fortin and Frank Fortin, seven sisters, Marie Anne Ouellette D’Isle, Sister Theresa Fortin, Geraldine Masse, Emily Lavigne, Gabrielle Fortin, Gemma Syfried, and Justine Fortin.
She is survived by her brother, Chanel Fortin, and sister, Flavia F. Dudley and her husband Thomas F., sister in-law Solange Fortin, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, October 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 3rd at 10 a.m. at St. John’s the Baptist Church- All Saints Parish, Pleasant Street. Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Brunswick.
