BATH — It’s been reported that a speak-easy will open for one night, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 5, in Bath.
The location hasn’t been disclosed but according to a reliable source, entry can be granted by presenting a membership card and password.
Cards are reportedly on sale at Now You’re Cooking and Brick Store Antiques and online at sagadahocpreservation.org for $15.
Additional sources claim that the Hadacol Bouncers, a six-piece jazz band, will entertain the crowd.
All proceeds will benefit Sagadahoc Preservation, dedicated to the preservation of Bath-area buildings, and maintaining Winter Street Center at 880 Washington St. Winter Street Center is also the home of Dreamland Theater, which will open its fifth season on Oct. 10.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
