Bangor rallies past Windham, 27-21

Logan Lanham and Dane Johnson combined for 238 yards of rushing and four touchdowns as Bangor overcame a 15-point deficit in the second half to beat Windham 27-21 Friday night in Class A East football.

Liam Sullivan scored three times for Windham, which led 21-6 after driving 68 yards with the second-half kickoff.

The Rams seized momentum when defensive end Jordan Ayer stripped the ball from Sullivan and returned it 37 yards before colliding with a teammate and tumbling down at the 3. That set up a Lanham run of 1 yard to make it 21-13.

A 5-yard run by Lanham capped a 32-yard drive set up by a poor Windham punt snap and made it 21-19 early in the fourth quarter. The two-point conversion attempt failed.

Johnson put Bangor on top with a 44-yard run and the Rams passed for the two-point conversion with 8:36 left.
