BATH — The Bath Middle School football team beat Brunswick, 30-28, on the last play of the game last week.

The game started out with Bath receiving the kickoff and Tyreik Foster taking the ball 70 yards up the left sideline for a score. Foster also scored the 2-point conversion.

Brunswick scored on a pass play, making it 8-8.

Bath turned the ball over in its own end, and Brunswick again got good yardage and took time off the clock, eventually scoring to take a 16-8 lead at the half.

Bath kicked off to Brunswick, which again drove downfield and scored, making it, 22-8.

Bath got the ball and gained big yardage on a pass play from Parker Onorato to Sebastian Tibbets. Foster scored a few plays later on a 15-yard run and again punched in the 2-point conversion for a 22-16 game.

Isaiah Cogswell intercepted a pass, giving Bath the ball on the Ba-40 with three minutes remaining. Tibbets, Cogswell and Foster helped drive the Destroyers downfield, with Foster scoring again and converting a third 2-point conversion for a 24-22 Bath lead with two minutes left.

Brunswick struck right back, scoring a TD for a 28- 22 lead, but Bath, with just 1:22 remaining, answered.

Foster hooked up on a halfback pass with receiver Max Reid to move the ball to the Brun-20. With no timeouts remaining, Foster took a toss and rumbled 20 yards for the game-winning touchdown, scoring just inside the pylon.

Arias Lech, Tom Troiano, Conor Foye,Alex Martin, Lucas Oysterhout and Dylan Haycock were standouts on the offensive line, along with Cogswell at fullback. Defensively, Jordan Douglas, Oysterhout, Haycock, Tibbetts, Nate Rose and Cogswell played well for Bath.
