
The Dragons, 6-5 and scheduled to host Mt. Blue on Saturday at 1 p.m., started slow, but managed a 1-0 halftime lead when Jesse Arford finished off a pass from Blake Gordon.
“Our nature is we start off a little bit slow then get going,” said Brunswick coach Mark Roma.
Black took over in the second half. His first goal came five minutes in on a penalty kick, and three minutes later the senior upped the advantage to 3-0 with an unassisted marker.
Dan Abbatello got Oxford Hills (3-7) on the board with 28 minutes left, but Gordon scored off a Black pass, and the duo hooked up one last time, with Black completing the hat trick with 14:52 left on the clock.
“Those two seem to team up very well,” said Roma of Gordon and Black.
Brunswick goaltender Ryan Brescia had six saves, while Vikings goaltender Matt Cippoloso had eight stops.

Kyle Whitman scored for the Greyhounds, but the host Cougars came out on top in a Western Maine Conference matchup.
Randy DeRoche fired home a pair of goals for Dirigo (3-6), while goaltender Justin Grignon made five saves.
Lisbon, 4-4-2 and scheduled to visit Oak Hill on Friday, received four saves from netminder Nate Bergeron.

Henry Cleaves gave the host Flyers a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game, and Elyse Bayizere picked up one goal and one assist as Waynflete (7-2) downed the 3- 6-1 Falcons at Portland in Western Maine Conference play.
Brendan Qualls had seven saves in goal for Freeport, scheduled to host Traip Academy on Friday.
Milo Belleau needed to make just two stops for the shutout.

In KVAC Class B action on Tuesday, the visiting Shipbuilders dipped to 1-9-1 and are scheduled to host Maranacook on Thursday.
Morse is sitting in 12th place in B West and the top 10 teams make the postseason.
Scoring first-half goals were Sawyer Pinkham at 5:53, Kaleab Buchwalder at 20:30 and Pinkham again with 18:28 left.
In the second half, Devin Scherer added the final goal for Lincoln Academy, which led in shots 16-9.
Myles Day had eight saves for Morse, while Wally Morris stopped five in the win.
Morse led in corner kicks, 3-2.

Russell Marr and JD Souza scored one goal each as the host Wolverines downed Class B Spruce Mountain in MVC action.
Marr finished off a pass from Camden Reiss with 13:02 left in the first half, and JD Souza’s goal, set up by Brandon Goud, came just 7:05 into the second half.
In goal, Conlon Ranta and Dylan McMahon combined on 10 saves for Wiscasset, while Spruce Mountain (6-3- 1) received 17 saves from Dustin Jones.
