BRUNSWICK

Emergency lines are ringing locally again: State technicians transferred the town’s 911 lines from its old police station to the new one at Stanwood and Pleasant streets.

From Oct. 1-11, Cumberland County Regional Communications Center in Windham handled 175 emergency calls from Brunswick, director William Holmes said.

Local officials reported no problems in response time.

Because 911 is sponsored and managed by the state, only state-certified technicians may perform maintenance on the lines.
