Ruth V. Dennett, 87, formerly of Oregon Avenue in Old Orchard Beach, passed away Oct. 13, 2013 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford. Father David Robinson of Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be at the cemetery. Dennett, Craig & Pate, 365 Main St. in Saco, is in charge of the arrangements.
Dr. Robert V. “Bob” Fernandez, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 12 of a heart attack while doing what he loved to do every Columbus Day weekend, hiking Mount Washington. Visiting hours will be held at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St. in Kennebunk, on Friday, Oct. 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. There will also be a memorial honoring ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish at St. Martha’s Church, 30 Portland Road in Kennebunk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to: Southern Maine Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Biddeford, ME 04005.
