DANVERS, Mass. (AP) — All public schools in Danvers have been closed because of an ongoing homicide investigation.
The Essex district attorney’s office said the town’s schools are to remain closed today.
No details about the homicide investigation were immediately available, but authorities said there is no threat to public safety.
Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett has scheduled a news conference for later today.
Danvers has five elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.
