LIMESTONE — Glennis G. Watson, 73, of Limestone, passed away, surrounded by family, on Oct. 24, 2013, following a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She died peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born to John L. and Irene M. Flannery on Jan. 26, 1940, in Fort Fairfield, Maine. Her father died in a tragic plane accident in 1947. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, F. Herbert Ramo. She attended Fort Fairfield schools and married Charles D. Watson. Together they had four children. After her divorce from Charles, she was married for a period time to John Gagnon. Her primary role was that of homemaker; she also worked as a nanny and provided elder care services.

Glennis will be remembered as a kind, sweet, loving woman who was devoted to her family and enjoyed being with people. A woman of Christian faith, she was very proud of being an Aroostook County native. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Glennis had a particular tenderness towards animals of all kinds. Her favorite news anchor was Brian Williams of the NBC Nightly News.

Glennis was predeceased by her father, her daughter Twila, her stepfather and her first husband.

She is survived by her mother, Irene; siblings, John T. Flannery and Sharon Ireland; son, Charles E. Watson; daughters, Julie Watson Boehme and Lisa M. St. Pierre; grandchildren, Tabatha, Jacinda, Daphne and Whitney; and great-grandsons, Cayden and Jaxon.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen St., Brunswick, at 10 a.m.
