AUGUSTA (AP) — A panel of Maine legislative leaders is poised to decide which recently introduced bills should be considered when lawmakers return in January.

The Legislative Council, the 10-member bipartisan group of House and Senate floor leaders and presiding officers, will meet today.

Hundreds of bills were submitted earlier this month by lawmakers and Republican Gov. Paul LePage’s administration.
