Saturday, Nov. 2: Vandini’s magic & illusions stage show takes place at Schoolhouse Arts Center at 1 p.m. Magic, comedy, large-stage illusions with some TV, look-a-like animal costume characters, all live on stage and lot of children’s participation, a live dove and rabbit, music. Nov. 2: Sebago’s Spaulding Memorial Library holds its third annual Punkin Chunkin from 1-3 p.m., with Sunday, Nov. 3, as a rain date. Both kids and adults can purchase pumpkins and apples to launch across the lower ball field behind the Sebago Elementary School. Take Marina Road, across from the fire station on Route 114 and park along the field. Call the library at 787-2321 for more information.

Nov. 2: The Sebago Center Community Church Ladies Circle will be hosting their annual Fall Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. downstairs at the church on Route 107 in Sebago Center. This year, featured items include quilts, pillowcases, kitchen sets, aprons, home-baked goodies, Christmas crafts, and attic treasures. The Ladies also have a hand-sewn doll to be raffled and their ever-popular game of chance (the chance is you’ll win a prize every time). Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Tuesday, Nov. 5: A monthly grief support meeting sponsored by VNA Home Health & Hospice will be discussing “Holiday Grief” from 6-7:30 p.m. at North Windham Union Church, 723 Roosevelt Trail, Route 302, Windham. Nov. 5-6: The Gray Public Library will be closed with normal operating hours resuming Thursday, Nov. 7. The closure is the result of the ongoing library expansion project. During the time the library is closed, the collection will be shifted from the juvenile and young adult area into the adult wing of the building. The library will continue to offer a pared-down selection of materials and free Internet access. The renovation project continues to progress on schedule with a projected end-date of mid-January.

Wednesday, Nov. 6: Senior citizens throughout Cumberland County are invited to a free Thanksgiving luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Camp Sunshine in Casco. Turkey and all the fixings will be served by members of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office and Volunteers in Police Services. RSVP by Nov. 1 to 774-1444, ext. 2115.

Nov. 8-17: Schoolhouse Arts Center will present “Zombie America” on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10. Schoolhouse Arts Center is located at 16 Richville Road (Route 114) in Standish, just north of the intersection of routes 114 and 35. Saturday, Nov. 9: Village Square Fair takes place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Standish Congregational Church on Oak Hill Road. The fair will feature fabulous apple fritters, a cookie walk, items from the garden, craft corner, bargain basement, jewelry and silent auction. Homemade chowders, stews and chili are available at a luncheon from 11a.m.-2 p.m. For more information, call 642-2503.
