TOPSHAM

For the first time in six years, Topsham voters will find no contested races at the polls Tuesday in an election to choose their municipal and school leaders for the next three years.

With two open seats on the Board of Selectmen, incumbent Selectman Marie Brillant is running for re-election. Also running is William Thompson, who serves on the Finance Committee and who ran in the most recent municipal election a year ago for an unfinished term on the Board of Selectmen.

Two seats are available on the School Administrative District 75 school board. The current school board representatives with terms expiring, Holly Kopp and Scott McKernan, are both seeking re-election.

The polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the exhibition hall at the Topsham Fairgrounds Tuesday.
