BRUNSWICK — For the fourth time in his career, Bowdoin senior Coby Horowitz has earned All-New England Small College Athletic Conference honors for men’s cross country.
Horowitz took third place to earn First Team All-NESCAC status for the third consecutive season. The senior also earned First Team status in 2011 and ’12 and was a Second Team performer in 2010.
Horowitz finished this year’s 8K race in a time of 24:51.4. The top seven finishers at the conference championship automatically earn All-NESCAC recognition. The Polar Bears finished fourth as a team at the meet.
Horowitz will look to defend his New England Division III Championship on Nov. 16 as the Polar Bears compete at the NCAA Regional hosted by the University of Southern Maine. He won last year’s race, hosted by Westfield State.
The NCAA Division III Championship is scheduled for Nov. 23 at Hanover College in Hanover, Ind.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
