
Fay spent most of her life living in Newport, R.I., while her husband served in the military. During that time, she worked at the Officers Club as hostess and manager, retiring in 1986. After her retirement she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Rodney W. Brewer of Newport, R.I.; 3 brothers, Worrall (Sonny) Lemont, Theodore (Teddy) Lemont of Bath and John O. Lemont of Phippsburg; and a sister, Virginia Watson of Phippsburg.
She leaves behind a daughter Carol Andrew of Bath; a son Rodney Brewer and his wife Kathy of N.C., and a daughter Maryann Williams and her husband Robert of N.C.; 4 sisters, Mary Libby of Phippsburg, Nancy Pederson, Helen Fredrick and her husband Lee, Adele “Sugar” Madore, all of Bath; and by her loving companion, her 15- year-old Pekinese dog named “Baby.”
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, from noon to 1 p.m. at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Sugar Madore’s home following the burial at Calvary Cemetery.
