LINCOLN, N.H. — New Hampshire’s ski season is kicking off with the opening of Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln.

Loon Mountain officials say they will open Friday with two miles of top-to-bottom skiing and riding, after two nights of intense snowmaking.

Bretton Woods follows close behind with a Saturday opening date and celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Both ski areas will close midweek and plan to open daily for the season in mid-November.
