Tuesday’s funeral for Brendan Conway, the coach of Deering High School’s freshman basketball team, will be held at the school’s gymnasium Tuesday afternoon, the funeral home handling the arrangements said Saturday night.
The funeral had been scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home. Instead, it will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the gym, said Ryan Hutchins, director of the funeral home.

A wake will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home at 660 Brighton Ave. in Portland, Hutchins said.
Conway, 34, died Thursday night while playing basketball. He was a sales agent for Maine Real Estate Network in South Portland and had been a Deering coach for more than 10 years.
