BANGOR – A federal judge has sentenced a Maine man to 37 months in prison for a pharmacy robbery last year in Augusta.

U.S. District Judge John Woodcock Jr. imposed the sentence Wednesday on 29-year-old James Rich. When he leaves prison, Rich will serve three years of supervised release.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty on May 23 to interference with commerce by robbery.

Prosecutors say Rich entered a CVS pharmacy in Augusta wearing a hooded jacket, sunglasses and ski mask. He handed a note to the pharmacy technician demanding drugs and left with more than 150 oxycodone pills.
