AUGUSTA (AP) — The former treasurer of a Maine high school wrestling team’s booster club has pleaded not guilty to stealing thousands of dollars from the organization.

Prosecutors say 41-yearold Wendi Willette of Winslow stole between $10,000 and $30,000 from the Winslow High School Wrestling Booster Club.

Police say Willette was charged with felony theft on October after a monthlong investigation that began when boosters’ club members reported they suspected Willette had stolen the money.
