BRISTOL, R.I. — Bryant Perkins earned All-ECAC honors as the No. 32-ranked Bates College men’s cross country captured sixth place out of 46 teams, with its second seven running, at the ECAC Championship hosted by Roger Williams University at Colt State Park on Saturday.
Perkins finished 14th overall out of 327 runners with a time of 26:27.49 to earn All-ECAC recognition as a top-14 finisher at the race.
Cole Townsend of Williams won the event with a time of 25:43.08 and an average mile of 5:10.5 as Eph runners captured first, second and third as individuals.
The Bobcats took sixth place as a team with 188 total points. Williams won the event with 26 points, while No. 13 Tufts (75 points), Amherst (84), No. 26 Colby (141), and No. 6 Middlebury (175) gained the second through fifth positions.
Sophomore Taylor Saucier of Freeport completed the 8-kilometer course next for Bates after Perkins, finishing with a time of 26:57.36 for 35th place.
Bates will run in the NCAA Regionals at Narragansett School in Gorham this upcoming Saturday.
