CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The New England Patriots have activated running back Shane Vereen from the injured reserve-eligible to return list. He was placed on that list Sept. 10 with a left wrist injury.
Vereen is in his third NFL season. A second-round draft pick out of California in 2011, he had his first NFL 100-yard rushing game in the win at Buffalo to open the season when he gained 101 yards on 14 carries.
He is listed as ‘probably’ for Monday night’s nationally televised game against the Carolina Panthers.
