BRUNSWICK

The Brunswick High School Players, directed by Pamela Mutty, will present their fall production, “The Crucible,” beginning today through Saturday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. each night, in Crooker Theater at Brunswick High School.

An additional 2 p.m. matinee performance will be held Saturday.

“The Crucible” is playwright Arthur Miller’s riveting drama about the Salem witch trials.

Set in Salem Mass., in 1692, “The Crucible” focuses on farmer John Proctor, his wife and a young servant girl who maliciously causes the wife’s arrest for witchcraft.

Proctor goes to court to save her and it is here that the monstrous course of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted. “The Crucible” is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable about our contemporary society.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for students.
