ELODIE LE NEZET, a teacher at L’Ecole Française du Maine, embraces Luigi, also known as “Loulou,” during a recent mission trip to Haiti. It was the third humanitarian trip to Haiti by the school. Le Nezet visited Terrier-Rouge to assist teachers and students, offer educational supplies and bring other support to ensure access to education, which is not free for children in Haiti. Le Nezet said Loulou loves to read and play. Freeport-based L’Ecole Française du Maine was founded in 2002 and calls itself the only French immersion school north of Boston.
