U.S. SEN. ANGUS KING, I- Maine, praised Julia Knowles, of West Bath, for her work as an intern in his Washington, D.C. office. Knowles attended Brunswick High School and recently graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with degrees in marine physical science and economics. “It has been great to have Julia working in my Washington, D.C. office,” King said. “She is tremendously talented, extraordinarily kind, and we are lucky to have her around. Since joining us this fall, she has made significant contributions to all aspects of the office including policy research, correspondence efforts and general administrative tasks.” Knowles said working in King’s office “has offered me an unparalleled opportunity to see firsthand how our legislative branch works. I am impressed with the pragmatic approach exemplified by Sen. King and his staff, who excel at keeping their finger on the pulse of Maine.”
