BATH — The Bath Middle School seventh-grade girls basketball team lost 33-24 to Oxford Hills in its home opener on Wednesday.
After an 8-8 first-quarter stalemate, Bath led 19-18 after three quarters.
It was a games of runs, with Oxford Hills making the last run.
Macie Gagne led all scores with seven points, while Mae Winglass followed five and Ella Dempsey-Blair four, while Maddie McDonough, Katie Tucker, Lauren Boubel and Paige Faulkingham were offensive contributors.
Margaret Keating, Eva Machnitzky, Vanessa St. Pierre and Jacqueline Chadwick turned in strong defensive performances.
