WINDHAM – Volunteers spread out through all of Windham’s many cemeteries on Saturday, decorating the graves of the town’s approximately 750 deceased veterans with Christmas wreaths.

The wreath-laying effort was part of Project Everlasting Gratitude, with wreaths donated by Studio Flora/Sebago Gardens in North Windham.

More than 700 wreaths, which local volunteers helped decorate last week, were placed on veterans’ graves in the 31, town-owned cemeteries by various Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and veterans groups.
