A MINIVAN BURST INTO FLAME after it struck the rear end of pickup truck on Gurnet Road shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday. The van was demolished and the truck sustained moderate damage but was able to drive away from the scene. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were headed north on Gurnet Road by Coombs Road when the minivan’s driver, 20-year-old Emma Wood of Harpswell, failed to stop in time for traffic ahead of her. No charges are pending.
