Christina St.Cyr was named director of marketing for Yarmouth Boat Yard and Moose Landing Marina.

St.Cyr has extensive experience in media and digital advertising. She previously worked for MaineToday.com, NewsSimply.com and Gannett.

Lisa Belisle, M.D., joined Topsham Family Medicine and Brunswick Family Medicine.

Belisle, of Yarmouth, had operated her own private practice in Yarmouth and Portland for more than 10 years. In 2007 she expanded her practice to include medical acupuncture and integrative health. She hosts “The Dr. Lisa Radio Hour & Podcast” and also writes about health care topics through her work as the wellness editor for Maine Magazine.

Ben Beal was promoted to director of the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren.

Beal has 13 years of experience in corrections. He previously served as acting deputy warden. He has experience as a correctional officer, sergeant and director of Central Maine Pre-Release.

Jennifer Southard, director of philanthropic services at The Maine Community Foundation, was promoted to vice president of donor services and gift planning.

Southard joined the community foundation staff in 2003. She is president of the Maine Planned Giving Council and is a member of the steering committee of the Advancement Network. She lives in Portland.

AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS

Don Cray, program manager for the Intensive Residential Treatment Program, was recognized as employee of the year by Volunteers of America Northern New England.

Cray joined the agency as a residential counselor in 2007 and was promoted to assistant program manager in 2011. He had served as program manager since the fall. He was recognized by his peers for his leadership skills, reliability and support for the staff and clients.

The Westrum House, which provides 27 affordable apartments for seniors in the midcoast area, was recognized as program of the year.

Travis Drake, director of Housing Compliance for Volunteers of America Northern New England, said in a news release that housing gives residents a place to call home, which helps to improve the quality of their lives.

Wells lawmakers Sen. Ron Collins and Rep. Kathy Chase, presented Dick Henry, owner of the Maine Diner in Wells with a Legislative Sentiment on the diner’s 30th anniversary.

Over the past three decades, the award-winning family-owned restaurant has received various accolades and made television appearances on programs such as the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” the NBC “Today” show and the Boston-based “Phantom Gourmet” show.”

Charlene Williams, president of Nancy Marshall Communications, was elected to serve as the vice president of the board of the Maine Public Relations Council.

Williams, of Manchester, has been with the agency since 1997. She leads the day-to-day management of the agency and is involved with the strategy and management of every client account.

GENERAL

Jennifer Wright, a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Lewiston, recently became an oncology certified nurse.

Dr. Hugh Harwood, of Southern Maine Geriatrics, obtained a Certified Medical Director status by the American Medical Directors Association.

He joined Southern Maine Geriatrics in 2010 and has been in both solo practice and hospital based practice for over 25 years.

OPENINGS

Jennifer Wiessner recently announced the opening of her therapy practice in Cumberland.

Wiessner is a licensed clinical social worker, and the only female to be certified by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists as a sex therapist in Maine. Wiessner is a former leader of the Cumberland/North Yarmouth Family Network and serves as an adviser to the network and co-leads its community service-focused care committee.
