Louise Lester, town clerk of Raymond, last week presented the Rev. Elmer Young of the Raymond Food Pantry with a check for $315. Employees at the Raymond Town Office made donations to the Raymond Food Pantry this year in lieu of their annual gift exchange. Young said that donations are welcome throughout the year and that he can be reached at 232-5830 if any further information is needed. Donations of paper goods are especially needed. Money donations may also be mailed to the Raymond Food Pantry at P.O. Box 900, Raymond, ME 04071. People needing food assistance may visit the pantry at 1273 Roosevelt Trail (the Lake Region Baptist Church) in Raymond on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month (beginning Jan. 1, 2014), from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
