Mayor Thomas Cote presented outgoing interim mayor Maura Herlihy with a plaque thanking her for what he described as her exemplary public service and her diligent, learned and caring governance, at Tuesday’s council meeting. Cote was sworn-in as mayor that evening, and Herlihy was chosen deputy mayor by her peers.
