BOSTON — The Boston Celtics announced on Thursday that they have recalled guard/forward MarShon Brooks from the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League.
Brooks, a 6-foot-5 guard/forward, appeared in five games for the Red Claws while on assignment, including two games in the D-League Showcase in Reno, where he averaged 27.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 35.0 minutes per game. Brooks recorded a high of 36 points to go along with six rebounds, five assists, five steals and three blocks against Tulsa on Jan. 5. He also recorded a double-double against Springfield on Jan. 4 with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
