Traffic is flowing normally again from Portland to South Portland over the Casco Bay Bridge after a temporary malfunction of one of the drawbridge leaves.
The southbound side of the Casco Bay Bridge was stuck in the open position for about 40 minutes Monday, according to Portland police and the Maine Department of Transportation.
The bridge became stuck about 3:30 p.m. and reopened at about 4:10 p.m.
Police redirected traffic during the breakdown.
Traffic flowed normally from South Portland to Portland throughout the malfunction.
