SUNDERLAND, Vt. — A missing 12-year-old Vermont boy has been found safe in New Hampshire, and authorities say his mother is facing charges of unlawful restraint and custodial interference.

Authorities say they found Zachary Lee of Sunderland late Monday night at a hotel in Lyme, N.H.

Vermont State Police had issued an Amber Alert earlier in the evening after Zachary was dropped off at his foster home by a school bus, but never made it inside.

Authorities say they received reports that indicated Lee was with his mother, 49-year-old Patricia Kane, and his 17-year-old sister. Law enforcement officers found the three at the hotel.

State police say Kane was arrested by Hanover police. It was not immediately known if she is being represented by a lawyer.
