Local author Renny Stackpole will read excerpts from his recent book, “Sea Letters,” featuring a compilation of letters from a seafaring family from Nantucket. Set against the backdrop of the War of 1812, the letters chronicle the often harrowing tales of life at sea, both in times of war and peace.
