June Fitzpatrick Gallery is bringing back its 10×10 exhibition for a two-day event on Friday and Saturday at the gallery at 522 Congress St. in Portland.
This year’s exhibition, called 10×10 + 4, includes four young artists from the Portland area who were invited to participate.
The popular show began 23 years ago with 10 Maine artists, who created a showcase for 10×10 artwork in Portland. After a two-year hiatus, the following artists will participate in this year’s exhibition: Chris Beneman, Todd Bezold, Roz Fedeli, Brett Gamache, Lindsay Hancock, Pat Hardy, Jenny Scheu, Martha Miller, Mickael Walek and Russel Whitten. The young artists invited to participate in this year’s exhibition are Nelson Bruns, Sam Gilbert, Thomas Ryan and Maggie Williams.
The artwork will showcase various diverse techniques, content and practices. All of the artwork is for sale for $200.
The exhibition will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
