Air Force Reserve Airman Colton R. Burne graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Brian Burne of Topsham and is a 2013 graduate of Mount Ararat High School, Topsham.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Nicholas R. Parshall graduated from military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Parshall is the son of Sandra and Jeffrey Parshall of Scarborough and graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in Auburn in 2010.

Air Force Airman Alex M. Johnson was a recent honor graduate from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Kim and Gordy Johnson of Gorham and is a 2013 graduate of Gorham High School.

A veterans’ benefits legal clinic will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in meeting room 4 at Portland Public Library, Monument Square, Portland. The clinic is offered by the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project and will provide free help to veterans applying for VA benefits or appealing a denial. No appointment is necessary.
