“The Zigzag Kid,” directed by Vincent Bal.
This year the PMA is proud to be one of the host locations of the Maine Jewish Film Festival.
Nono is the son of the world’s greatest police inspector, trained since birth in sleuthing. A train trip morphs into a rollicking mystery-solving adventure after Nono meets up with the notorious criminal Felix Glick, his father’s nemesis, getting the chance to prove he has what it takes to be a great detective himself. In disguise and on the run, Felix and Nono head to the French Riviera, where Felix introduces Nono to the seductive chanteuse Lola Ciperola. With only 24 hours to go before his bar mitzvah, Nono has to complete his high-stakes mission and confront the truth about the mother he has never known.
