DOVER, N.H. — A New Hampshire man was taken to a hospital after falling through the ice in the Cocheco River in Dover.
Witnesses saw the man struggling to get out of the river Friday afternoon and called 911. Officials said he was submerged from the neck down.
Emergency crews went into the water and pulled him out. He was taken to the hospital for possible treatment of hypothermia.
It is believed that the man had been trying to walk across the frozen river when he fell in.
