The Freeport Woman’s Club steering committee got together at the home of Jan Zimmerman on April 4 to make plans for their upcoming Spring Bazaar that will take place on Saturday, May 3, at St. Jude’s Church in Freeport from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will feature attic treasures, collectibles, baked goods, plants and gift baskets. JoAnn Miller, left, and Elaine Greene, two of the Freeport Flag Ladies, and their friends showed the colors, as they always do on Tuesday mornings, in downtown Freeport on April 1. Flag Lady Carmen Footer, recovering from heart surgery, will be back on the scene within a few weeks, it is expected.
