BIDDEFORD — Calvin T. Shattuck, 85, of Biddeford, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Southridge Living and Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.
Cal was born in Westfield, Mass. on Dec. 10, 1928, the son of Theodore and Jessieline (Messenger) Shattuck, and he attended school in Simsbury, Conn.
He retired from the post office after being a rural route carrier in Alfred.
Cal was a kind and friendly man, always with a smile and never spoke an unkind word.
Cal was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald.
He will be sadly missed by: his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Perry) Shattuck; his daughter, Suzanne Cote; and granddaughters, Erin and Danielle Cote.
He also leaves: many nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Arlene (Shattuck) Dunne.
A memorial service will be held at South Waterboro Bible Chapel, 911 Main St., Waterboro, on May 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. A private burial will follow at a later date.
