BIDDEFORD — Reginald LaCroix, 86, of Biddeford and formerly of Saco, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Andre’s Health Care Facility.
He was born June 13, 1927 in Biddeford, and was educated in Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach.
Reginald served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On June 7, 1947, he married Juliette Gobeil at St. Andre’s Church in Biddeford.
He had been employed at Saco-Lowell/Maremont/Saco Defense/General Dynamics for most of his working life, retiring in 1989.
An avid fisherman, Reginald had been a member of the Saco Yacht Club.
He is survived by: his wife of 66 years, Juliette LaCroix of Biddeford; two brothers, Joseph LaCroix of Sebring, Fla. and Norman LaCroix of Greene; one sister, Simonne Goulet of Old Orchard Beach; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. Burial with graveside services and military honors be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. To share condolences online, visit www.hopememorial.com.
