An open house will be held at Ever After Mustang Rescue, in conjunction with the ASPCA’s National Help a Horse Day, on Saturday, April 26 from noon to 4 p.m. at 463 West St., Biddeford. The open house will include information on wild horses in America, the need and work of the rescue, an introduction to a wild horse, training clinics, grooming clinics, games for young people, tours of the facility, and light refreshments. There is no admission fee, but donations are welcome. Pictured here is Cheyenne, who was 2 years old when she was captured on Sept. 19, 2000 in the Delmar Mountains of Nevada. She came to the rescue distrusting and fearful, but is currently in a structured training program.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
